Fitness can continue through your entire life, if you make adjustments. Although I can no longer take ballet or gymnastics classes, hiking, table tennis, yoga, kayaking and mat exercises are still very doable.
Going barefoot and touching a tree ignites the grounding current. This is very powerful and electric. Children do this naturally, going barefoot in the summer. I loved the magnetic healing forces I felt from the grass in Vienna, while visiting the outdoor pool with my dancer friends. We spent three lovely months there, on tour with the Broadway hit, “42nd Street.”
Swimming in Anacapri had the same effect. Being out in nature and absorbing the sunshine, the healing effects of the saltwater, and the gorgeous views kept me feeling young and happy.

Another great post. Thank you for the reminder about how important it is to be fit as we age.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure, it sure makes a difference to be physically active.
DeleteI completely agree about gentle exercise keeping our bodies and minds active. I spend hours working in my garden and my body gets a thoroughly good workout.
ReplyDeleteThat’s great, here. Your garden sparkles with love and care.
DeleteYou are so right about staying active as we age. I know several ladies who are basically crippled because they lead sedentary lives. Lovely pictures as always!
ReplyDeleteHi Anita, Yes. When I became sedentary before having my hips replaced, everything went downhill, physically. My father was shocked by how fast my body deteriorated. Now that has all healed. So glad you like the photos…
