More Photos From Hawaii

The above video I took last week in Kauai.  We spent two nights there on NCL’s Pride of America.  The beach was absolutely breathtaking.  I took a taxi to Poipu Beach  from the port.  The driver agreed to transport m me the forty minutes each way.

When he dropped me off, he changed his mind and told me to call the company for a ride back to the ship.  I got annoyed with him, and reminded him of our agreement.  He had initially said he would meet me there in an hour.  I told him I was angry at his dishonesty.

After swimming and sunbathing. I walked by the local shops and dialed the number he had given me on my cell phone.  It didn’t work.  I sighed, wondering how I was going to get all the way back to the ship.  I was out in the middle of nowhere.  I heard a few honks, and saw the driver of the taxi parked at my drop off point.  He had decided to honor our agreement after all.

    1. All’s well that ends well, Joy. You are right. My mother always let people know when they were going back on their word, I am becoming more like her as I age…

    1. Thanks, Andrea. I was very relieved. Suze Orman says to stand in your truth. He did do the right thing, after I pressed him.

    1. I know. There were not any taxi stands in the area. One of the shop keepers said there was a bus nearby, not often they only run every hour. I will research it for next time.
