I found these sweet lace curtains in Applewood Court, Wrightwood, last week. I love the look of lace from the outside of a cabin. It softens the edges. I ended up exchanging the swags for valances. Actually, I kept the valances and rehung them in the upstairs bedroom. Since I have shades on those windows, I can still pull them down for privacy.
These are the old ones. They may have been here since the fifties! Will wash them and save them, or donate them to a charity shop. Isn’t the view spectacular? Nothing like it…
Are you staying warm this time of year?

The new curtains are really pretty, Stephenie, and they'll frame the view just perfectly. Xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jules. I love them. Curtains really change a room.
DeleteYour lace curtains are lovely. I enjoy seeing pictures of the interior of your cabin. You've made it look so cozy. I've put the flannel sheets on my bed and piled on the quilts and blankets I've made. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bless. Your bed sounds very warm and comfortable. The fireplace insert has made all the difference.
DeleteYour cabin looks so cosy! I love seeing the dog snuggling on the sofa. xxx
ReplyDeleteIt is, Vix. The dogs kink out all day by the fireplace.
DeleteI love your pretty lace curtains. There's something special about windows dressed so beautifully. The view really is gorgeous you lucky lady. I bet it smells amazing after rain.
ReplyDeleteIsn’t it incredible, Cherie? I feel so fortunate to be in this spectacular mountain setting. You can always smell and feel the shift in the air when it’s going to snow.
DeleteThose dogs have it made in front of that roaring fire. I love having flannel sheets on the bed in the winter-so cozy with my electric blanket and electric mattress pad! The lace curtains are the perfect look for the cabin.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anita. The fire acts like a sleeping pill for the dogs. They climb into bed around 4:30 p.m. I love the lace curtains, too. They soften the hardness of the wood.
DeleteYour home looks so cozy, and I love the new curtains! I used to make curtains for my former home, but fabric stores are not what they used to be and the availability of pretty lace curtain fabric is limited. I will have to start scouting online for either fabric or the finished product.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie. I love them, too. I use a lot of vintage lace curtains, as well. Hope you can find some that you like.
