Thank you for posting this link, Stephenie. What she said about 50% of Americans not having $1,000 in savings is so true and we are seeing the impacts of that right now. It will be interesting to see what she will have to say about our current situation.
Hi Bless, Yes, that eight month emergency fund is so important. I listen to her podcast on Thursdays and Sundays. She has been commenting on what's happening currently there.
Hi Nil, I never got to see her show, because I don't have t.v. I did get access to some episodes for a month after buying her book, though. I love her formulas. They really work.
I am so glad that I live frugally and had money saved before the virus emerged. And myself and my 2 daughters - we are all providers for others. I think it's because we can see what is needed (in tough times) and just do it. I'm going to watch her shows. And, I recently spent a whole day reading your lovely blog. As an older yoga teacher (I only do the odd private and a couple of classes each week now), I really resonated with your post about teaching ballet and yoga, the difficulties. I was constantly exhausted, and making much money? No.
Welcome ratnamurti, Thank you for reading my blog and for commenting. I am so glad to hear that you live frugally and had money saved, too. Isn't that a relief? I believe that when we are on the right track, we feel energized. I hope that you are able to use your talents to bring you prosperity. I empathize with your situation as an artist and a teacher. My situation has improved, and I hope that yours does, too. Namaste.

DeleteThank you for this video, Stephenie.
ReplyDeleteI used to watch Suze Orman on CNBC a long time ago. It’s from her I learned about how to prepare financially before buying a house.
