It has been heartbreaking to watch the video footage of the rioting and looting that is raging in our country. I sigh at the destruction and how it will backfire, financially. Today I read an encouraging story about donations pouring in from all over the world for one of the business owners of a martial arts studio in Newport Beach. It is heartwarming to see the support that people are giving to those who have experienced this extreme damage and violent devastation.
I am making arrangements with local tradesmen to have the work needed done on my house. I am happy that they are still working, and enjoy writing a check to them for their services. It makes me feel relieved to know that the money I pay them will help them to buy groceries, gas and supplies.
Today I mopped the floors and fed the plants in the front garden. I still need to get back to knitting, but have been very busy growing food and cooking. I will comment on your blogs soon; I apologize for the delay.
