A Bunny in the Garden

This morning I snapped a photo of a bunny that was snacking on the flowers in my garden. He looks so healthy and serene. I love the natural color of his coat. He blends in so well with the environment.

not very uniform, but practical

I made several dishcloths with some kitchen cotton yarn that I bought on sale.  My old ones were falling apart, after seven years of use. They were  mindless and easy to make, and getting back into knitting and crocheting was very therapeutic. It's a relief to be knitting again.  I'm getting my self  back.  I even started on a pair of blue and green socks today.  I have plenty of sock yarn in the stash.  Are you making anything special?

Thank you for your comments. They add so much talent and energy to the blog. Please comment in English. I'm sorry, but comments with links will not be published. If you enjoy the posts here, please share them.

  1. Oh, that bunny is so cute, even if he is eating your flowers! He really does blend in well with the background, doesn't he?

Knitting and crochet are very therapeutic activities, aren't they? I've been thinking of knitting myself some socks with that wool yarn I bought, a few weeks ago. I haven't felt like working on the quilts that are in progress.

Hope you have a lovely weekend. It's supposed to be getting hot, again; stay cool!

    1. I know, he looks so healthy. Yes, it was hot today. I spent the day at the beach. It was lovely. Hope you are staying cool.

  2. I love bunnies! None here because we have woods and not really any fields or areas the bunnies can graze. Plus too many predators. I love your washcloths. I want to learn to make them and have books but have never gotten around to it. Andrea

    1. I love them, too, Andrea. Their cotton tails are so cute and puffy. Dishcloths and washcloths are fast and easy. I love to give them as gifts with a bar of homemade soap.

  3. Sweet little bunny. I have broken my own rule about being a monogamous knitter by having 2 projects on the needles right now. One is a pair of socks I started strictly to teach myself the afterthought heel. Socks are always a great thing to have in your bag as you wait during appointments. Mindless DPN round and round! The other project is a hooded shawl for my oldest son's girlfriend. It is turning out to be a strictly at home project because of the number of stitches and the lace pattern. Nice dishcloths-so very handy!!!

    1. Hi Anita, Let me know how you like the afterthought heel. I am doing a pair of the Hermiones Socks right now. It's a four row pattern, and I like the texture. I'd love to see your hooded shawl.

  4. Thankfully although sweet we haven't had a lot of rabbit visitors this year they do tend to cause havoc with our garden. I am crocheting dishcloths too, a quick make that satisfies the need to craft.

    1. Hi mamasmercantile, I need to crochet a few more. I do mostly knitting. I love how relaxing crocheting is, though.

  5. It must be 'bunny weather' as we had a little one running around the neighbourhood the other day. I'm glad that you are feeling the urge to create.. It fills many a peaceful hour doesn't it?

    1. Hi Cherie, Yes, it certainly does. You are one of the most creative crafters that I know. Today I knit socks at the beach. It was a fabulous day!

  6. I like your dishcloths. Very pretty colors. I make a lot of these too and I'm always looking for new patterns. Do you have any you can share? Also, have you tried knooking? It's knitting with a crochet hook. I'm enjoying playing around with it. Google it for more info. Bobi

    1. Hi Bobi, I will look through what I have and post something for you. There are many excellent ones for free on Ravelry. I've never heard of knooking. I have done Tunisian crochet, though.

  7. Bunnies look so innocent but can be distructive. It's a good thing they are cute. Even Hucklebunny has her moments (but I still like her 😊🐰). I'm working on a washcloth for my mom. AFTER making half dozen, I figured out that the stitch I like shrinks in one direction. I will make this one longer so after it's washed, it will be square. Always learning.

  8. What a cute bunny. 😊

I need to practice more crochet stitches. I know only two so far. You are right. Though I don’t do a lot of crochet, I too find it very therapeutic.

Hope you have a relaxing Sunday.
