Back Home From Las Vegas

I spent the weekend visiting my friends in Las Vegas.  We had a big bash to celebrate our assistant company manager's eightieth birthday.  There were all kinds of show people there.  It was such a fun event.  The food was delicious.  We were all so happy to see each other again.

This is my friend Georgie.  We met when we were first starting out in our dance careers as teenagers.  Now here we are, over fifty!  The man is a familiar face, but I can't remember his name, unfortunately.

Here's another photo with my friend Jan.  We sat and had a long chat.  It's so great to catch up with friends that you knew when you were in your twenties. It was like no time had passed.

Lula was able to come with me and stay at the cabin.  She loves an adventure.  There was a tremendous amount of traffic on the way home. I left early Monday morning, but many other people had the same idea.  Still, we made it safely, and it was a wonderful trip.

Thank you for your comments.  They add so much talent and energy to the blog.  Please comment in English.  I'm sorry, but comments with links will not be published.  If you enjoy the posts here, please share them.

I know what you mean when you say it feels like no time has passed when you chat with old friends.

  2. What a beautiful group of gals. Catching up with folks you've known for a long time is nice. It's refreshing to be able to visit with your guard down a little and know it's okay.

  6. You look fabulous in that dress. It is a good color on you! All the ladies look so elegant. Too bad about the traffic heading home though. Thank goodness for air conditioning in the car. I remember the old days of traveling through the desert with open car windows.

    1. Thanks, Anita. I bought this dress at T.J. Maxx, years ago. It fits really well, and I like the gathers. I remember driving through the Mojave with no air conditioning, too. Luckily, the new cabin is just two and a half hours from Vegas.

    1. Thanks Bless. There was bumper to bumper traffic for the first leg of the trip, but then it started to move. Labor Day weekend is a popular time to visit Las Vegas.
