This is classic material from the smash Broadway musical Annie. I worked with the man in the black overcoat who plays The Rooster in Easy Street. His name is Bob Fitch, and we did four companies of Sugar Babies together. I absolutely love this montage. The energy, music, and choreography make me smile. I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for sharing these wonderful clips from Broadway. While I have been to many shows in London over the years I am ashamed to admit I have never seen a show on Broadway. Do you know if any of those children ever continued on to success as adults?
Hi Anita, The talent on the West End is wonderful! I would love to see some shows there. I know that at least one of these little girls was on the television series The Facts of Life as a teenager. Andrea McArdle, who played Annie, did her nightculb act on a cruise ship when she was older. My mom saw her, and said that she was excellent. (and very nice to talk with, in person.)
I’m a huge Annie fan Stephanie. My daughter now loves the movie too. I have watched the DVD from the early 80’s that many times I have lost count. I know each and every song word for word. I think Carol Burnett was magnificent in the movie. Thanks for sharing and I’ll show my daughter later. I now have the Annie songs stuck in my head. I’ll be singing all day. Kylie

Me, too, Kylie. I love the energy of these Broadway numbers. I agree with you about Carol Burnett. She was fabulous!
